Oh, god, just lock her up and throw away the key. Or provide her with her very own ‘sovereign nation’ in the form of a medium-sized iceberg floating in the Bering Sea.
Also, I’m pretty sure that’s actually Carrot Top.

The single greatest thing about no longer working in a public law library is not dealing with the so-called “sovereign citizen” types.

check youtube, there’s plenty of videos with “sovereign citizens” interacting with police. it always ends about as well as you’d expect.
an image I saw recently kind of summed up the state of the world to me:
parents in 1996: “Don’t trust anyone you meet on the internet!”
parents today: “Facebook.twitter says George Soros paid Hillary to develop AIDS!”

That sounds like a special kind of torture. And this is coming from a middle school teacher.

Oh, I know, but it’s always fun to add to that list.

I still have students asking me what AIDS is. For all the issues that public schools have, I was educated about STDs in sixth grade in fucking Arizona (Mississippi of the West) in the ‘90s. We are witnessing the decline of civilization (in America).

I’m glad those folks are usually weeded out at the public service desks down stairs. They don’t make it to archives and special collections all that often.

I enjoy that judges and lawyers are now reading up on those nutjo s so when they pull out some maritime law book from the 1800s, the judge just goes “Yeah but then these laws came out after that that render that completely void so.....yeah you got anything else?”
Seve lehto had a great episode of his podcast where people kept referencing a book made by a publishing house as if it was law. But all it contained were summations and court briefings of the day, not the actual written law.
